イギリス英語とアメリカ英語 その1
As you probably know, there are some differences between American English and British English. One of those is that we sometimes use different words to express the same thing.
For example Americans would probably say “The Fukuoka subway” Brits would say “The Fukuoka underground”.
ご存知の方も多いでしょうが、アメリカ英語とイギリス英語にはいくぶん違いがありまして、その1つは、同じものを言い表すのに違う言葉を使うことがある、ということです。例えば、アメリカの人は、福岡市地下鉄のことを”The Fukuoka subway”と言うでしょうが、イギリスの人は、”The Fukuoka underground”と言います。
