Hi there everyone!
This weekend’s classes in Akasaka will be taught by Jaimie and Gemma and the topic is nice and easy, it’s brands! As you know the classes are also used in the Yakuin and Nishijin schools too so if you miss a lesson first time round remember you can always take it another day, they are also used in our morning lessons the following week in Akasaka so don’t miss out!
Here is a little slice of what we will be serving up this weekend.
First of all please remember that a brand doesn’t always mean something that is high class or expensive, a brand is just the name given to a company or their products.
Level 1
We will be talking about different kinds of companies, the countries they come from and the adjectives to describe those countries.

We will also be talking about your favourite brands, and preferences that you have between different brand with a similar product.

Which do you like Mcdonalds or Burger King? マクドナルドとバーガーキングどちらが好きですか。

Level 2
Similar to level 1 but we will start with a few questions about brand, their success, and brand loyalty. We will also use the present perfect to talk about whether you have ever used a product from a certain brand name.

Have you stayed loyal to one brand for a long time? Why? ひとつのブランドを長い間ひいきにし続けたことがありますか。 なぜ。
How do you choose what brands you buy? 何のブランドで買うかどのように決めますか。

As usual for level 3 we will start the lesson of with a discussion so please have a think about this before you come to the class.
