Hello again. Today I’m going to show you this British expression.
Fancy.
Fancy has 2 different meanings.
-
To like the look of something, usually food or drink.
“Have you ever tried sushi?”
“No, I’ve never really fancied it.”
“Does anyone fancy a cup of tea?”
“ Lovely, I’ll have one thanks.”
2. To be attracted to someone else.
I think Tom really fancies Laura, every time he speaks to her his face goes bright red!

「いいね、一杯欲しいな」
2.誰かのことが好き
トムは本当にローラのことが好きなんだと思う。
彼女と話す時の彼の顔はいつも真っ赤だから。
