How to study English – A self-study book for beginners

Students very often ask me to recommend me some books for them to study, and it’s very difficult for me because most of the Japanese English self-study books I see in Japan are in my opinion not very good. The good thing is that as long as you are studying, any book is probably OK. Anyway, I’d like to recommend you a good self study book that we found recently.

This is the book. I think it’s a very useful book for our beginner students to help the with basic grammar concepts and sentence construction in English. It’s in our Yakuin classroom now so please take a look at it there if you are interested before you actually buy it, I’ll bring it to our Akasaka classroom at some point next week.

生徒さんはよく私に勉強するのにおすすめの本を尋ねますが、それは私にとってとっても難しいことなのです。なぜなら私の意見では多くの自己学習用の本はあまりいいものがないからです。ここで勉強している限りはどの本もおそらく大丈夫だと思いますが、自己学習用のいい本を最近見つけたので、おすすめしたいと思います。

これです。基本的な文法や文章の組み立て方がわかるので、おそらく初心者の生徒さんたちにとても役立つと思います。今この本は薬院校にあるので、興味があれば是非購入する前に手に取ってみてください。来週赤坂校にも持っていきます。
