Travel EnglishーGolden Week

Hello there everyone, today I won’t be giving you travel English so to speak , more like a few phrases to talk about things I did in Golden Week, which I spent in Osaka and Yamaguchi with my family.

Firstly, I don’t usually enjoy going to Yamaguchi so much but sometimes it is nice to just get away from it all relax.

There isn’t much to do in my wife’s hometown, but it was nice to spend some quality time with my kids.

As some of you know, I’m petrified of flying but this time it seemed like no big deal.

I love Osaka city, it is a bustling and vibrant place and I’ve been there many times but, it seems to have become a bit of a tourist trap in the centre recently.

It was good to see my friend from Scotland again, we hit the town on Saturday night in Osaka and had a good chance to catch up with each other again.

Of course I got quite drunk that night and tried to walk back to my hotel from Namba to Juso. It turned out to be really far, I got lost and didn’t have a clue where I was.

I think that is probably enough for today, hope that comes in handy.

トラベル英会話ーゴールデンウィーク

みなさんこんにちは、今日はトラベル英会話については多くを語らず、ゴールデンウィークに家族で山口と大阪へ行ったときのことについて、いくつかのフレーズを紹介したいと思います。

まず、私は普段山口に行くのをそんなに楽しめないのですが、時には全てから解放されてリラックスできるので好きです。妻の出身地（山口）ではあまりすることはないのですが、こどもたちとはとても貴重な時間を過ごすことができました。

数人の方は知ってると思いますが、私は飛行機がとっても怖いです。でも今回はそんなに大きな問題ではなかったです。

大阪は賑やかで活気があって、私は大好きです。大阪へは何度も行ったことがありますが、ここ最近中心部はツアリストトラップ(観光客向けにどこも高い値段がつけられている)になってきているように見えました。

また大阪でスコットランド出身の友達に会えたことはとても良かったです。土曜の夜に大阪の街へ一緒に出かけ、お互いの近況報告をするのにとてもいい機会でした。

もちろんその夜は酔っ払い、難波から十三のホテルまで歩いて帰ろうとしましたが、とっても遠く、道に迷い自分がどこにいるのかわからなくなりました。

今日はこのくらいで十分でしょう。英語のセンテンスがいつか役に立ちますように。
