ビジネス英会話でよく使う表現 – read between the lines
Hi there!
Today’s beautiful business English expression is “ read between the lines” this expression should be pretty easy for Japanese students to understand because it is kind of similar to 空気を読む. It means that something hasn’t been directly stated but you can guess what is being said/written in a round about way.
Jaimie hasn’t said that he is quitting the company, but I think we can all read between the lines!

これは日本人の生徒さんは理解するのがとても簡単な表現でしょう。なぜなら、「空気を読む」と似たような表現だからです。直接的には言われてないけど、何を言おうと/書こうとしているのかが途中で予測できる、という意味です。
