Travel English -Yufuin

Hello there everyone, I hope you all enjoyed your winter holidays as much as I did. My family and I went to Yufuin for the first time and it was really quite nice.

We stayed at a nice hotel at the foot of the mountain and near Lake Kinri, did some typical touristy things like souvenir shopping, visiting the sightseeing spots and trying some of the local foods. I enjoyed drinking a lot and soaking in the hot tub every morning and night!

If you have never been then I think it’s a nice a place to visit for a couple of days but here is a little advice.

You should definitely book a your return ticket in advance as well as your ticket there because it is really popular with foreign tourists and I had a little trouble getting back. If you want to eat out at night……you can’t everything is closed by 18:00 and the town is completely dead ( much to my city kids surprise) Lastly, wrap up warm it is up in the mountains and it was minus 3 every day we were the there.

みなさんこんにちは、私と同じくらいみなさんが冬休みを満喫できたことを祈ります。私と家族は初めて湯布院に行きましたが、とっても素敵な場所でした。

私たちは、金鱗湖近くで山の麓にある良いホテルに泊まりました。そして典型的な観光客がするような、お土産を買ったり観光名所を回ったり地元のものを食べたりしました。沢山飲んで、毎日朝晩温泉に浸かったりとても楽しみました！もし一度も行ったことがなければ、数日滞在するのがいいかと思います。でも少しアドバイスがあります。

帰りの電車のチケットは前もって買っておいたほうがいいです。外国人観光客にとても人気なので、帰るときに少しトラブルがありました。そしてもし湯布院周辺で外食したいなら、18時ですべてが閉まるので気を付けてください。町は完全にシーンとしています。(福岡市内に住んでる子供たちはびっくりしていました)最後に、山の上のほうへは沢山着込んで行ってください。私たちがいたときは毎日最低3度でした。
