Talk about myself/my hometown/my country – the Edinburgh Festival
Usually at this time of year in Scotland, the Edinburgh Festival is coming to a close. It’s the world’s biggest arts festival which lasts about 3 weeks each summer. Unfortunately, it was canceled this year. However, you can usually watch comedy shows, stage performances, or see live music with lots of singing and dancing. There are also many street performers in the town centre. They are often juggling, doing magic or some dangerous stunts. It’s really lively and there is a great atmosphere in the city.
Scottish summer isn’t too hot so you can walk comfortably in the streets. Also, Scotland is quite far north, so the summer evenings are really long. It usually doesn’t get dark until 10 or 11pm! You can see many people on the streets and everyone is having a good time. And of course, this time of the day is a great chance to speak to strangers and practice your English! So don’t be shy, the friendly locals and tourists would love to talk to you too!

私の出身地、私自身～講師の自己紹介: エディンバラフェスティバルについて（ロス講師）
通常であればスコットランドでは今は、エディンバラフェスティバルが近づいている頃です。
世界で１番大きな芸術のお祭りで、毎年夏に３週間開催されます。
残念ながら今年は中止となってしまいました。しかし、いつもであればコメディーショーや、舞台でのパフォーマンス、歌や踊り満載の音楽ライブをみることができます。
街の中心部ではたくさんの路上パフォーマンスもあります。大道芸や、手品、または危険なスタントも！活気にあふれた、素晴らしい雰囲気が街に漂うのです。
スコットランドの夏はそこまで暑くないので、道を歩くのも心地よいです。また、スコットランドはだいぶ北にあるので、夏の夕方がとても長いのです。大抵、午後10時か11時まで暗くならないんですよ！道にはたくさんの人がいて、みんな良い時間を過ごしています。そしてもちろん、１日のなかでもこの時間は、あなたが知らない人に話しかけて、英語を練習するのに最適です！だから恥ずかしがらないでください、親しみやすい地元民や、旅行客があなたと話したがっていますよ！
