Christmas and New Years
This week’s subject is Christmas and New Years. We’re going to be talking about all the things we love about the holiday season. First, we’re going to talk about the various traditions that are popular in both western and Japanese culture at this time of year. Also, we’re going to share our habits and routines – so remember to come to class prepared to talk about what you usually do over the holidays. Where do you usually go? What do you usually eat? Do you decorate your house? Do you usually exchange cards and gifts?
We’re also going to talk about how we used to celebrate Christmas and New Year when we were younger, and our favourite experiences and presents.
Western and Japanese holidays at this time of year are so different, so let’s have fun comparing them and learning about each other’s holiday traditions!

まず最初に、この時期の日本とヨーロッパ、それぞれのの文化における色々な伝統について話しましょう。習慣やルーティーンについてもシェアしますので、普段あなたがこの休暇中にやる事について、レッスンの中で話す準備をお忘れなく。通常はどこへ出かけますか？何を食べますか？部屋の飾り付けをしますか？カードやプレゼント交換をしますか？
この時期のヨーロッパと日本の休暇は大きく異なっているので、これらを比べてみることや、お互いの休暇の伝統について学ぶことを楽しみましょう！
