Cinema (movies) in my childhood
Hi everyone, how’s your weekend shaping up? No exciting plans as far as mine is concerned. I’m probably going to watch a movie or a drama on Netflix in the evening. I have no popcorn, though.
Speaking of movies, when I was younger there weren’t many movie theaters in my hometown. And I guess the few movie theaters that were there, were partly owned by Indian businessmen. Not surprisingly, they showed lots of Bollywood movies there. Bollywood is India’s version of Hollywood. We watched both Hollywood and Bollywood movies in my hometown when I was a kid. I liked Bollywood movies because they had great music and dance in them. Nowadays, there are lots of movie theaters, but Bollywood has been replaced by Nollywood! “Nollywood” movies are made in Nigeria. They’re quite popular in many African countries. So nowadays when you go to the cinema in my hometown Kampala, you can watch Hollywood, Nollywood flix.

やあ皆さん、週末はいかがですか？私に関しては、特別楽しい予定はありません。たぶん映画を観に行くか、夜にネットフリックスでドラマを観るでしょう。ポップコーンは無いですが。
映画について言えば、私が若い頃、地元の街には映画館はたくさんはありませんでした。そしてそこにあったいくつかの映画館はインド人が経営していたと思います。そこで多くのボリウッド映画が上映されていたのも驚くべきことではありません。
ボリウッドとはインド版ハリウッドのことです。私は子供のころ、地元でハリウッドとボリウッドの映画を観ました。私はボリウッド映画が好きです、素晴らしい音楽とダンスが含まれているからです。最近、地元にはたくさんの映画館がありますが、ボリウッドは糊ウッドに変わってしまいました！ノリウッド映画とはナイジェリアで制作された映画のことです。アフリカの多くの国々で大人気なのです。もし近いうちに、あなたが私の地元カンパラへ行ったらハリウッドとノリウッド映画を観ることができますよ。
