Talk about myself/my hometown/my country
English learning and usage in Uganda
My home country Uganda, is one of the 23 countries in Africa that speak and use English in daily life. Typically Ugandans use 3 languages: English, Swahili and a tribal language. English is the official language. All subjects in schools are taught in English, people use English in offices, parliament and other places. We learn or study English at school but I think many kids learn English by using it in their daily life. However, there is now a campaign to teach Swahili and other local languages so that they don’t die out.
I’d like to speak Swahili more fluently. I’m really bad at it.

ウガンダでの英語学習
私の母国ウガンダは、アフリカにある23の国の中で日常的に英語を話す国のひとつです。典型的なウガンダ人は英語、スワヒリ語そして部族の言葉という３つの言語を使っており、英語が公用語です。
学校ではすべての教科を英語で行い、オフィスや議会等の場所でも英語を使います。
私達は学校で英語を学びますが、実際には多くの子供達が日常生活の中でそれを学んでいます。
でも、現在スワヒリ語やその他の地元の言葉を教える施策が行われていますので、それらの言語も絶えてします事はありません。
私はスワヒリ語がとても下手なので、もっと流暢に話せるようになりたいです。
