Pastels
Hey everyone, Denny here.
As many students know, I like art and tend to do a lot of it. Recently, I’ve been taking a bit of a break from bigger projects and am relaxing instead, but I did buy some soft pastels and paper to start painting outside of the digital world.
It’s a lot of fun, and the same rules of colour, composition and light apply in both digital and traditional art. Pastels are super messy but the colours they bring out are really beautiful, and it’s really enjoyable to blend things with your fingers.
It also lets me bring out the style I want, which is very “impressionist”. An impressionist artist is someone like Claude Monet – an amazing French artist that started the “impressionist” movement.

やあ皆さん、デニーです。
多くの生徒さんがご存知だと思いますが、私は芸術が好きで、色々なことをやっています。
最近では大きなプロジェクトが終わって少し休憩中でリラックスしていますが、デジタルの世界から離れて絵を描くためにソフトパステルと紙を買いました。
デジタルでも伝統的な絵画でも、色のルールや、構成、光の使い方は同じで、とても楽しいです。
パステルを使うはとても面倒ですが、その色はとても美しく、自分の指で色を混ぜるのをとても楽しんでいます。
この方法で、私の求めるとても印象的なスタイルになります。
最も印象的なアーティストは、印象派のムーブメントを開始したクロード・モネというフランス人の素晴らしい画家です。
