Women and young people in positions of leadership
Hello everyone, hope you’re having a good weekend. In talking about myself, country or culture, let’s stay with the week’s theme “changes”. Well, in my country (Uganda), just like any other country, there have been many changes. One of the changes I’d like to point out is the increasing number of women and young people in positions of leadership in many fields over the years. For example,43% of cabinet ministers and 34% of the members of parliament are women compared to about 10% and 12% 20 years ago. There are 20 members of parliament in their 20s and the average age of the Ugandan parliament is 46. It used to be over 55 in the past. Gee, at 53 I’m feeling so old in Uganda ha ha ha.

土曜日のブログのテーマは「私の出身地、私自身～講師の自己紹介」です。
今週のレッスンのテーマである「Changes」に関連して、私の出身国についてお話したいと思います。
私の国（ウガンダ）では、他の国と同じように、多くの変化がありました。
私が言いたい変化のうちの１つは、長年にわたって、多くの分野で、リーダーシップの立場にある女性や若者が増えているということです。
たとえば、閣僚の43％と国会議員の34％が女性ですが、20年前は約10％と12％でした。
20代の国会議員が20人おり、ウガンダ議会の平均年齢は46歳です。
以前は55歳を超えていました。
ああ、53歳はウガンダではとても年をとっているように感じます。ﾊﾊﾊ。
