Keyword Focusing
For many of my beginner students, I always strongly recommend focusing on keywords in a sentence, not prepositions or the grammatical structure.
The reason why is because in any form of communication, the essential points are what matter, not the precision in communication. If I give you “Me”, “eat”, “food”, “Wednesday”, you now have enough information to know that I will eat food on Wednesday.
Why should you focus on this? Because it allows you to understand each other easier, and focus on the important parts of communication. Over time, you will naturally start to use smaller details like prepositions and precise grammar.
This is how I self-taught Japanese – keywords, key kanji, context, and then filling the rest in over time. Trust me!

キーワードに焦点をあてる
英語が初心者の生徒さんに私が強くおすすめすることは、前置詞や文法構造ではなくキーワードに焦点をあてることです。
その理由は、どのような形のコミュニケーションであれ大事なことはコミュニケーションの正確さではなく、必要な事柄を述べることだからです。
私があなたに「私」「食べる」「食べ物」「水曜日」と伝えたら、あなたは私が水曜日に食べ物を食べることを知るのに十分な情報を持っています。
なぜキーワードに焦点をあてる必要があるか。
それはお互いを理解しやすくなりコミュニケーションの重要な部分に集中できるからです。
前置詞や正確な文法などの細かい部分は時間が経てば自然に使いはじます。
これが私の日本語の勉強方法です。
キーワード、主要な漢字、文脈、そして残りを時間をかけて埋めていきます。
