Talk about myself/my hometown/my country
Hello there everyone,
As you know I’m a simple man, beer and spicy food are enough to keep me happy so this blog is always a bit of a challenge to write. I did just take a very short trip to Osaka, Kyoto, and Nara though and I have to say it was very nice indeed.
I’ve been to Kyoto many times but this time I took a wander around Arashiyama. It was absolutely beautiful and may have been the first time in about two years or more that I tasted real fresh air. If you haven’t been there it’s definitely worth a look.
I also went to Nara for a quick trip.Todai temple was pretty impressive and the deer were pretty cute too but being from the northwest of Scotland and waking up to them in my garden sometimes I wasn’t quite as impressed by them as the young ladies travelling there seemed to be. I think I heard the word “kawaii” about 10 million times in one day!
I also caught up with the lovely Rina San, our former receptionist while I was in Osaka and we had a bit of a blether about the early days of Kensington. Hopefully she’ll pay us a visit when she comes back in summer.
All in all it was a nice little trip and what’s more I was there without kids so for the first time in about 12 years I got to do my own thing. Bliss!

私の出身地、私自身～講師の自己紹介
みなさん、こんにちは。
ご存知のように、私はビールとスパイシーな食べ物さえあれば幸せという、とてもシンプルな男なので、この「私の出身地、私自身～講師の自己紹介」という土曜日のテーマは、いつも少し書くのがむずかしく感じます。
しかしこの前行った、大阪・京都・奈良への小旅行はとても良いものだったので、今日はその小旅行について書きたいと思います。
京都には何度も行ったことがありますが、今回は嵐山を散策してみることにしました。
本当にきれいで、２年以上ぶりに本物の新鮮な空気を味わったかもしれません。
嵐山に行ったことがない方は、一度行ってみることをおすすめします。
奈良にも少し足を運びました。
東大寺はとても印象的で、鹿もとてもかわいいですが、スコットランドの北西で育ち、庭に鹿がいるのを見ていた私は、旅行にきていた若い女性たちほどは感動はなかったです。
「カワイイ」という言葉を一日に約１０００万回聞いたと思います！
また、大阪滞在中には以前ケンジントン英会話で働いてくれていたリナさんに会い、ケンジントン英会話の初期の頃についてたわいもない話をしました。
うまくいけば、彼女が夏に戻ってきた時には私たちを訪ねてくれるでしょう。
全体として、この小旅行は素敵なものでした。
さらに、約１２年ぶりに私は子供なしで自分のことをすることができ最高の気分です！
