Getting ready for boarding school
Hello there, are you having a good weekend? It’s time to tell you a little about myself/country or culture. Sticking to this week’s theme, Getting Ready, let me tell you a little about getting ready for boarding. In my home country (Uganda) many children go to boarding schools. I went to boarding school, too. In a boarding school, students stay at school (they sleep in a dormitory ) they only go home when school is closed for the holidays. About 2 weeks before going back to school, students write “a back to school list”( A list of things they need for the new school term) and give it to their parents. I used to pack my suitcase 4 or 5 days before “back to school” day. In addition to stationery, books and clothes, I packed lots of snacks and juice concentrates.

寄宿学校への準備

今日は私自身や私の国・文化について少しお話しします。
今週のテーマ「Getting Ready（準備）」に関連して、寄宿の準備について少しお話ししましょう。
私の母国（ウガンダ）では、多くの子供たちが寄宿学校に通います。私も寄宿学校に通いました。
寄宿学校では、生徒は学校に滞在し（寄宿舎で寝ます）、ホリデイで学校が休校のときだけ家に帰ります。
学校に戻る約2週間前に、生徒は「新学期リスト」（新学期に必要なもののリスト）を作成し、それを保護者に渡します。
私は学校に戻る日の4〜5日前にスーツケースを詰めていました。
文房具、本、洋服に加えて、おやつや濃縮ジュースをたくさん詰めました。
