How’s your weekend everyone?
In my home country (Uganda), studying abroad is quite popular. Thousands of young and not so young people go to study abroad every year. Some of them on Government sponsorship (their studies are paid for by the government of Uganda). In fact, there are many Ugandan students studying advanced courses(Masters and PhDs) in top Japanese universities now. In the past, the majority of Ugandan students used to study in western English speaking countries. In the last 20 years however, China, India, Japan, Ukraine, Russia are among the study destinations for Ugandan students.

みなさん、週末はいかがお過ごしですか？
私の母国（ウガンダ）では、留学はとても人気があります。
毎年、何千人もの若者や、そうではない人も海外に留学しています。
彼らの中には政府の支援を受けている人もいます（彼らの勉強についてはウガンダ政府によって支払われています）。
実際に、現在、日本のトップの大学で上級コース（修士号と博士号）を勉強しているウガンダの学生がたくさんいます。
昔は、ウガンダの学生の大多数は西の英語圏の国で勉強していました。
しかし、過去20年間で、中国、インド、日本、ウクライナ、ロシアは、ウガンダの学生の留学先の一つです。
