Hi there! This weekend we will be talking about emergencies at the Akasaka school. For level 1 we will start off by talking about different services, occupation names and what we use them for.

And finally, practicing calling emergency services to either your home or somewhere in the street.

For level 3 we will as always be discussing the topic first.

What are some minor emergencies you have encountered recently? 最近どんなちいさな緊急事態に遭遇しましたか。
Who did you call? 誰に連絡しましたか。
Are you prepared for natural disasters like earthquakes or typhoons? 地震や台風のような自然災害の為の準備をしていますか。
What kind of preparations have you made? どんな準備をしていますか。
What are you supposed to do in the event of a large earthquake? 大きな地震の際に何をすることになっていますか。
Have you ever given someone first aid? 今までに誰かに応急手当をしたことがありますか。
Do you know what to do when someone loses consciousness? 誰かが意識をなくしたときにどうしたらいいか知っていますか。
In the roleplay we will be talking about some of the advice you should give to someone who has to give first aid.
Have you ever been in a situation where you needed to call the ambulance service? 救急車を呼ばなければならない状態に陥ったことがありますか。
keep the burn cool and covered やけどを冷やし、患部を覆う
Don’t move the patient. 患者を動かさないで下さい。
give mouth to mouth resuscitation 人工呼吸蘇生法を行う
Put the patient in the recovery position 患者を回復体位に保つ
Make the patient comfortable. 患者を楽にする
Keep the patient calm. 患者を安静に保つ
give abdominal thrusts (気道から異物を除去する)腹部突き上げ法を行う
