And the most popular Social Media Platform in my country (as of Aug 2021) is….
My home country- Uganda’s population is one of the youngest in the world. Like in many parts of the world, the young people in Uganda are enthusiastic users of Social Media. With about 65% twitter has replaced FB as the most popular Social Media in the last 12 months. Other SM like Tik -Tok are also gaining popularity among the pre-teenagers and teenagers. I think twitter was popularized during last year’s election campaigns, when a young presidential candidate posted more often on twitter than on FB.

私の出身国ウガンダは、世界で最も若い人々の人口が多い国のひとつです。
世界の多くの地域と同様に、ウガンダの若い人々はソーシャルメディアの熱心なユーザーです。過去12か月、最も人気のソーシャルメディアはツイッターでフェイスブックに取って代わり65％を占めています。その他に、Tik -Tokの様な SMも10代の間で人気を集めています。
昨年は選挙のキャンペーン中、若い大統領候補がフェイスブックよりもツイッターに多く投稿していた時に普及したのだと思います。
